How does the monthly allowance work?
Each paid month loads your plan's letters. Sign in to your account, then send letters on /send or /bulk as usual: each one uses a letter from your allowance instead of a card payment. When the allowance runs out, letters are charged at the normal price.
What does one letter cover?
One standard letter: the first black-and-white page, printed, enveloped and posted 2nd class (normally £1.79). Extra pages, colour, 1st class or tracked services are charged on top at the usual price.
Do unused letters roll over?
No. Each billing month starts with a fresh allowance and unused letters from the previous month expire. If a letter from your allowance is cancelled or refunded in the same month, it goes back into your allowance.
How do I cancel or change plan?
Sign in at /account and choose Manage subscription. You can cancel, switch plan or update your card there. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for, and you keep that month's letters until then. Upgrades apply straight away with a proportionate charge and a matching share of the extra letters for the rest of the month; downgrades apply from the next month.
Is there a cooling-off period?
Yes. Email hello@postowl.org within 14 days of subscribing and we'll cancel and refund the payment, less the plan price per letter for any letters already sent from the allowance (£1.80 a letter on Business 5, £1.58 on Business 12). Cancelling in the account area only stops the next renewal, so email us to get the refund.
Do I still need an account for single letters?
No. Sending one letter stays account-free: upload, pay and we post it. The account is only for the monthly plan.
